Task 5 - Company interview or Culture specific learning (Pecha Kucha)

You will have a choice for the last task. Choose either to do A Company Interview or B A Pecha Kucha presentation about a specific Finish phenomena.

A. COMPANY INTERVIEW

 What is the best way to learn about Finnish businesses?

Learning styles are different and we all have our own preferences. However, learning-by doing is always useful and in this task, I want you to do that!

Your task is to make an interview with one company in Kokkola region. Do it in pairs (2 people) where your final product is a text in our blog, where you will write about your interview and share what you've learnt and your thoughts (reflection). 

 Do the real interview sometime when it is suitable for you and the company. Publish the post by 7.12.2015! Read your friends posts and comment on them! No post, no comments = no grade for the task. Note that posts made without a real interview will lead to grade 0 for the task!

To remember: 

Interview a company that really interests you!
Learn about the company as much as possible so that you are prepared for the interview. It cannot be CABB!
Make an appointment with the owner or an employee, who can answer your questions.
Be responsible. Be yourself and respect the person you are interviewing! (this could be your future employer!)

Suggest to Linda what company you will interview, with who! You cannot interview the same company as somebody else!! I will add the company here when it has been cleared !

I added this task, since you wanted more culture incorporated to the task. If you would like to learn more about Finland, its people or culture, then choose to do the culture specific learning task.

Learn about one phenomena that is typical in Finland or something that is part of our culture.

Make a Pecha Kucha presentation about the topic. A pecha kucha is a picture presentation where you have 20 slides, where you show one picture for 20 seconds. The total time for the presentation will be 6 min and 40 seconds. The slides will change automatically after 20 seconds. The idea is that you have many pictures, very little text and instead you talk the listeners through your presentation. 

Here are some examples of approach to the task! Answer the questions with a picture :-)

How? (simpel explanation)

What teams are there? A few examples

What is particular about pesäpallo?

What is pesäpallo culture?

Where can you find teams? etc.

Ps. Don't have too much info on each slide, because it 20 seconds is a short time!

The Pecha Kucha presentations will be on 23.11 or 30.11! 

Save your Pecha Kucha slideshow to the blog. Save the actual show in a cloud, e.g. google drive, and share the link to the post. Add your names!
