I am a first year student and come from Vietnam. The fact that I have been living in Finland for about 3 months to study abroad and adapting to a new environment is quite
difficult, especially for a student from a totally different country like me. However this is a great chance
for me to discover and learn about a whole new culture.
Describe
This story happened in my exam day at Centria UAS. While the teacher was giving out the question papers to students but then she saw a seat line of students always used both hands to receive the question papers. She was so surprised and she said that: “Oh! Are you guys from the same country? Why do you have to use both hands to receive the papers from me?”. Then one of my friend answered: “In my country, students always respect their teachers, not only in their primary school but also at the time when they get in university,..etc.”
Interpret
What the teacher said surprised me, as in my home country – Vietnam, they are really polite to the teacher, take anything with both hands or clean the board before or after using to make it ready for their teachers before any lesson. It can be explained because of the differences between Vietnam and Finland. For example in my class in Finland, there is no barriers between teachers and students. The students can call the teacher, just with their first name.
Evaluate
Overall, every country has their own beauty, culture and it would be great if we learn new things from them as a foreigner. I hope that I will learn more interesting experiences during my study time in Finland.

In my opinion, it's about equality, just enjoy the friendship between teachers and you now^^
